Hey there, I am Sallie Hampton Smith the owner of The Vibrant Cowgirl Leather Company located in Moulton, AL. I have always loved the western lifestyle. I grew up showing Western Pleasure and English, then Barrel Racing and training horses in my teenage years. Then married and started our family. The leather shop came about because my daughter got a leather kit for Christmas 2020. We all played around with leather stamping, and let me just tell you, we were terrible! So I went to YouTube to try to figure it out and the more I learned, the more I fell in love with the craft! I love the tooling process, it is my favorite part! So, here we are a few years later and I still love the craft. So just know, each item is handmade with joy and attention to the details.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between machine stitching and buck stitching?

Buck stitching uses buck stitch lace to sew the leather together. Whereas machine stitching is done on a leather sewing machine using a heavy duty thread. The buck stitch lace appears thicker than the machine thread. It is a hand-done process that typically takes two to three hours to complete, contributing to the final cost of the project.

What does “current turnaround time for custom orders” mean?
